Rep. Beth Doglio will discuss climate change policy in the Trump era at the Olympia World Affairs Council’s monthly meeting. This free event will be held at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, November 16 at the Thurston County Economic Development Council/South Puget Sound Community College Lacey Campus, 4220 – 6th Avenue SE, Lacey. Doors open at 7 p.m., which allows you time to mingle with others interested in international affairs.
Rep. Doglio will discuss the actions by President Trump to withdraw the United States from the Paris Agreement and to reverse a number of climate change policies adopted by the Obama Administration. She will address the impacts of these recent decisions from a variety of perspectives, on the global, national and regional levels.
Doglio earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in political science and telecommunications. She was the founding executive director of Washington Conservation Voters, serving in that role from 1991 through 1995. She also served as a campaign organizer and later the development director for Audubon Washington.
